Hallelujah

Hedonism has run rampant. The Left has infected our American culture with the its poison. I believe that the only way we can stop this deluge of increasingly less civilized behavior is to find common ground between Jews and Christians and to work together to build a wall against the poison.”Love thy neighbor as yourself.” We can use this guiding principle working together in both the business and personal aspects of our lives.

Jews in Leftist Clothing

IMG_0432 Caroline Glick wrote a great piece about the lack of Jewish identity which is posted on her web site and also in the Jerusalem Post.

As a former Sunday School and Hebrew teacher I would like to add my own unsolicited but heartfelt opinion.

Many American Jews are Reform, which is not authentic Judaism, but a perversion to make the religion more digestible for non-Jews. It is one of the main reasons why we are losing, and have lost, many Jews to assimilation and atheism. As part of its history, the first Hebrew Union graduating class of rabbis were feted with a non-kosher meal which included crab and frog legs. For two generations Reform Jews have been taught that the Torah is not Divine but written by men. Why would any Jewish child take their religion seriously? Christians are taught Jesus is the son of G-d. Muslims are taught the Koran is divine. Jews are taught to read enough Hebrew for their bar/bat mitzvah.

Tikkun Olam is a tenet of Judaism. It literally means means repairing the world. To the Leftist mind this translates that a Jew must support every social program under the sun.The new Jew believes in social programs instead of G-d and fixing his/her own soul.
For more than ten years I taught in Atlanta area Sunday schools. I have used many curricula and textbooks. None gave the students a spiritual and historical basis for having pride in their heritage. Not one gave them the essence of the religion. It is our obligation as Jews to live a righteous life and to hold fast to Torah. In antiquity the Jews were captured and taken to Babylonia in chains. Psalm 137 reminds us how important Jerusalem was to our ancestors.137:5 “If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning.” Our siddurs (prayer books) mention Jerusalem more than 600 times and never once in the Koran.

After life? daily prayer? Jewish children are taught that the former is ” not something Jews believe in” The latter is only necessary under dire circumstances.
Jews are a “stiff necked” people. We have been ranting and running from our covenant since bibical times. It’s time that Jews take the prayer, scrolled tightly in the mezuzah, seriously or for the next Pew survey there won’t be enough Jews to even poll.

Jewish Dhimmis and Gun Control

Michael Savage on Jimmy CarterHappening Now According to Rashi, the great Talmudic scholar, only one fifth of the Hebrews left their slavery in Egypt. Hard to believe, but the majority stayed and chose slavery instead of freedom. Today I watch in horror as I see Jews doing the same thing.
The self proclaimed anti-Semite Jimmy Carter was invited to speak at Yeshiva University’s Cardozo Law School, the cowardly board of a Great Neck synagogue disinvited champion of freedom Pamela Geller to speak, and ignorant Jewish gun control advocates decry the 2nd amendment. All have something in common. They have chosen the easier and safer route of slavery instead of freedom.

The 2nd amendment was included in the Bill of Rights to protect average citizens against totalitarian regimes. It’s not like we haven’t seen murder and mayhem in the 20th century before. Maybe all these “intelligent” and “elite”Jews have a case of collective Alzheimers because we know that Hitler confiscated all the guns before imprisoning Jews in ghettos and transporting them to Hell. Lenin confiscated all the guns of an armed population, and the only way Jews survived in Arab countries was by being servile dhimmis (second class citizens) who couldn’t even walk on the same sidewalk as Muslims- no less have the right to bear arms.

Jews have a history of cowering in order to survive. It’s time we stand together with stalwart heroes like Pamela Geller, Andrew Bostom, and conservative martyr Andrew Breitbart who died standing up for our first amendment rights. “Never again” isn’t just a pop slogan. It has to mean something. Freedom involves risk, but without risk there is no freedom. What do you choose?

CAMERA’s Eye on the Media

Happening NowWishin I Could Cry  The other night I went to a presentation given by CAMERA, the foremost organization monitoring how the media presents the Israeli-“Palestinian”conflict to the American public. It was held at a Boca Raton synagogue so I expected a lot of people and was afraid I wouldn’t gain entry because I hadn’t preregistered. No problem. There were plenty of seats.

Although the hall eventually filled up, I only saw one person under 50. It’s a shame because we received a lot of important information, including a free copy of its published study “Indicting Israel” an empirical examination of how differently the New York Times treats Israel and faux Palestine. The outcome was that Israel was criticized more than two and a half times more than their neighbors. Since The New York Times is considered “the newspaper of record” international media choose their coverage and attitudes based on what is printed in this American Pravda. It’s not like the New York Times doesn’t have a history of ignoring antisemitism and totalitarianism. Its bias and prejudice towards thugs and barbarians has been so obvious, its theme song could be ‘Anything Goes.”- by any enemy of Israel. The evidence is laid out professionally based on more than almost three hundred articles related to the Israeli-“Palestinian” conflict.

I think the worst thing for me to hear was that so many of the writers and editors are, and were in the past, Jews. It’s time that their voices shilling their socialist propaganda be silenced. Purposeful or not, they sell their own people to the highest bidder time and time again. Like the Torah teaches- “in every generation.” It’s time for a new meme and courageous organizations like CAMERA are leading the way by giving bloggers and grassroot organizations ammunition in their fight for Truth. Torah admonishes us to stay far away from falsehoods. Emet, or truth, is one of the eternal values we are taught. CAMERA is focusing on the truth and by doing so is doing the heroic job of the righteous.
